Ajibade, captain of the Super Falcons, believes it is conceivable to beat Japan in Paris in 2024.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade is upbeat ahead of the Super Falcons' crucial Group C battle against Japan, according to TalkTalk Nigeria.

On Wednesday, the Super Falcons will face Nadeshiko at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

Randy Waldrum's team is in last place in Group C, having lost two of their first two games.

To advance to the quarterfinals, Randy Waldrum's team must defeat the Asian champions, either on goal difference or by finishing second or third.

Nigeria defeated Japan 1-0 in their last meeting at the Olympics at Piraeus, Greece, in 2004.

Ajibade is optimistic that they would be able to duplicate the feat this time.

"A victory over Japan is possible. We will work hard to accomplish this. Ajibade told thenff.com, "The Super Falcons have done it before, and we can do it again."
