Kelechi Iheanacho, a new Sevilla addition, has stated that the club's sports director, Victor Orta, helped persuade him to join the Spanish LaLiga team.

The Nigerian forward, speaking during his first interview with the club on Thursday, stated that Orta had an important influence in his decision to join Sevilla this summer transfer window.

Iheanacho has signed a two-year contract with the option for an additional year.

The 27-year-old is Sevilla's fifth addition this summer.

"Victor is an excellent man. He performed a significant role. He's been studying me for a long time and understands I'm a striker," Iheanacho explained.

"He's also been doing an excellent job for the football club, so it's not too difficult to achieve all of this. So, yes. So, Victor is a wonderful person.
