Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has stated that he does not want to sell midfielder James McAtee during the summer transfer season.

Guardiola remarked after Man City's Community Shield win over Manchester United on Saturday.

McAtee, who was on loan at Sheffield United last season, was expected to join them again this summer.
However, with the sale of Julian Alvarez, McAtee could be afforded more first-team opportunity.

Guardiola stated after the Community Shield victory over Manchester United, "I said to Txiki [Man City director]: I don't want to loan him and I don't want to sell him because I need his specific ability in small spaces".
