Napoli manager Antonio Conte is refusing to choose Victor Osimhen for matches due to uncertainty about his future with the Serie A club.

Conte has dropped Osimhen for their first official match of the season.

The Super Eagles attacker will miss the Coppa Italia match against Modena.

Napoli is still looking to move Osimhen this summer, having reached personal terms with Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku.

The former Italian champions attempted a swap agreement with the Blues, but Osimhen refused to decrease his pay and go on loan with no commitment to buy.

Osimhen's current contract still includes a release clause of about €130 million.
