'He's a terrific man,' Courtois says of his all-time favorite coach.
Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid's goalkeeper, has named Carlo Ancelotti as one of the best coaches of all time.
The Belgian international praised the Italian as a great man and an excellent coach.
Courtois talked before Real Madrid's UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta on Wednesday at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw, Poland.
"Ancelotti is an excellent man. He has a nice attitude and is an excellent coach.
"He achieves a balance between allowing us flexibility and demanding a tactical approach. He runs the dressing room and training sessions excellently.
"I think he's one of the best coaches of all time. He demonstrated that at every club he has managed. "When he retires, he will be remembered as one of the best coaches in history," Courtois told UEFA's official media outlets.
Ancelotti has previously coached Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Everton, and, most recently, Real Madrid.
