Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has informed the board that he supports their pursuit of Napoli's Victor Osimhen.

The Blues are hoping to bring in a striker this summer and are keeping an eye on Osimhen.

However, they are unable to fulfill Napoli's asking price of €130 million (£110.8 million) for his release clause.

The former Serie A winners have reduced their estimate to €100 million (£85.8 million), but Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are still hesitant to match that sum.

According to Sky Sports Italy, Maresca personally sanctioned the move for Osimhen, after their attempt to get Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid fell through over the weekend.
