PSG risk Champions League disqualification and transfer ban over Mbappe debt.
Paris Saint-Germain faces expulsion from the Champions League due to a €55 million unpaid salaries issue with Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe left the Ligue 1 club as a free agent to join Real Madrid this summer.
Although the 25-year-old has broken relations with PSG, he maintains touch with his former employers.
That is because Mbappe claims he is due €55 million by the French champions.
He is claimed to be due the final payment of a €36 million signing bonus, the last three months of his salary, and a 'ethical bonus' for the period of April to June 2024.
According to Le Monde, Mbappe's attorneys have brought the dispute to the Ligue de Football Professionnel's legal committee and, via an intermediary of the French Football Federation, to UEFA, the governing body of European football.
The LFP legal committee might impose a transfer ban on PSG until the problem is resolved.
With Mbappe also calling UEFA into the matter, they can remove a club's license in continental competition, therefore PSG could potentially be prevented from gracing the Champions League.
