Barcelona announced new first-team captains on Friday.

The Blaugrana confirmed this in a statement on their website.

The new first-team captains are Marc-André ter Stegen (first), Ronald Araujo (second), Frenkie de Jong (third), Raphinha (fourth), and Pedri (fifth).

The five players were chosen by the team members themselves.

"The FC Barcelona men's first team captains have been announced for the 2024/25 season. Marc-André ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, and Pedri were chosen in that order, according to a statement from Barça.
