'I am supposed to have retired from music.' - Rude Boy

Singer Paul Okoye, alias Rudeboy, has stated that he and some of his collaborators are expected to have retired from music by now.

The 45-year-old asserted that in the old order, musicians did not last long.

Rudeboy spoke on the Adesope live program on how difficult it is to balance being a family man and being a busy musician.
"In the old ways of doing music, by now people like us suppose don retire," according to him.

"There is always a time for everything in life." Things will always happen. If you are a celebrity and believe that people will always regard you as an angel, trust me, you are not going anywhere. There are moments when things will be against you. It's always like that.

Singer Paul Okoye, alias Rudeboy, has stated that he and some of his collaborators are expected to have retired from music by now.

"Every top artist has faced criticism and scandals. Even the up-and-coming ones will face the same fate eventually. It's a common practice in the entertainment industry. But what matters is your personality and how you handle problems.

Rudeboy rose to prominence in the 2000s as a member of the P-Square, together with his twin brother Peter Okoye, aka Mr P.

The group initially disbanded in 2016, but rejoined in 2021. Rudeboy stated in August 2024 that P-Square had broken up again after his twin brother Peter accused him and their elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, of misusing the group's cash.
