Brown Ideye, a former Nigeria forward, has encouraged Victor Osimhen to accept a pay reduction to aid his move to Chelsea.

Chelsea are interested in signing the Napoli striker, but negotiations have halted due to Osimhen's financial demands.

The Blues apparently want to sign Osimhen on loan at a reduced wage.

Osimhen, on the other hand, is willing to consider a loan with the condition that the loanee relocate permanently.

The Nigerian is also unwilling to cut his salary.

Ideye has blamed Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, for the feud.

"I'm not sure why Victor Osimhen's agency won't let him accept a wage cut and play for his dream club Chelsea. "I believe there is more than we read online," Ideye wrote on X.
