Tanimu, a Super Eagles defender, has moved to a League One club.

Crawley Town, an English League One club, has signed Nigeria defender Benjamin Tanimu on a permanent basis.

Tanimu joined Crawley Town from Tanzania's Premier League club, Singida Black Stars.

The Red Devils spent $850,000 to retain his services.

The 22-year-old signed a two-year contract with an option for another year.

"Our club has entered into an agreement with the CRAWLEY TOWN FC club in the UK that participates in LEAGUE ONE to sell our Nigerian player BENJAMIN TANIMU," Singida Black Stars said on Friday.

"The deal, with a direct transfer price (Direct price) and a sell-on fee of 20%, as well as fees for the quality and success of the player and the squad for the next two seasons, is expected to be not less than $850,000."

The former Bendel Insurance player has been capped three times by Nigeria.
