Fuji music artist Abass Akande, AKA Obesere, has stated that he just had surgery that nearly killed him.

Obesere revealed this in an Instagram post on Saturday.

He thanked God for allowing him to live through a potentially fatal surgery.

"The Almighty Allah has been merciful to me," Obesere wrote.

"I escaped a surgery that almost took my life but Allah said NO!"

The message sparked an outpouring of support from followers, who wished him a swift recovery.
