EPL: I’ll take more risks this season – Onana warns Man Utd fans
Andre Onana, Manchester United's goalkeeper, has warned fans that he plans to take more risks coming season.
Erik ten Hag, United's manager, brought in Onana to replace David De Gea last summer.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper was chosen for his ability to play more expansively, including passing out from the back, going off his line, and even playing outside his penalty area.
Onana was defeated from halfway in his home debut against Lens.
Despite a rocky start, the 28-year-old settled in and appeared in all but one of United's 54 games.
Onana stated ahead of his season campaign: "I believe that is what you will see this season because I will take a lot of risks.
"I can already tell you! Be prepared because that is how it will be this season, believe me! I'll love it much more once the season starts.
"The greatest team in the world takes risks. Building from the back, recognizing things and situations, when the opponent jumps one-on-one or presses with three or four."
