Brazilian football legend Neymar has named former Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva as the most difficult opponent he has faced in his career.

Neymar spoke in an interview published by VIVA Sport, according to sportskeeda.com.

The forward and Silva were teammates at PSG and on the Brazilian national team.

Both players have also faced each other during Neymar's time at Barcelona.

Silva left Paris Saint-Germain to join Chelsea in 2020 and went on to win the Champions League with them.

"Who is the toughest player you have played against?" the interviewer inquired.

Neymar responded, "Thiago Silva."
