Favour Ofili has moved on from her disappointment at not winning a medal in the women's 200m event at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Ofili finished sixth in the final of the race on Tuesday night, clocking 22.24 seconds.

Gabrielle Thomas of the United States won gold in 21.83 seconds, Julien Alfred finished second in 22.08 seconds, and Brittany Brown claimed bronze in 22.20 seconds.

The 21-year-old, who was making her Olympic debut, rushed to social media to thank her coach.

"I tried to be psychologically prepared despite the shocking news I received a few days back. I gave it my all from lane nine. "If it were simple, everyone would do it," she wrote on X.

Thank you, Coach Shaver. "Having you around made everything much easier for me."

Ofili is now looking forward to compete in the women's 400x100 metres relay. "Next 4×100. "On God," she said.
