Kano LG polls: APC confirms participation.

The Kano State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its participation in the state's local government elections on October 24.

Abdullahi Abbas, the party's state chairman, confirmed this on Thursday in Kano.

He stated that the party would soon have its primary elections to allow candidates to emerge for the elections, and he expressed confidence in the party's chances in the polls.

According to him, the party was mobilising members to vote in all 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

"We are doing everything humanly possible to ensure our teeming supporters participate in the election" , the candidate stated.

He emphasized that Kano State has historically been a stronghold of progressive politics, and that the party's political infrastructure was working to ensure victory.

The chairman emphasized the need of a level playing field and urged the state's independent electoral commission to conduct a smooth election process.

He reaffirmed the party's commitment to free and fair elections.
