Lil Wayne, an American rapper, has revealed that not being chosen as the headliner of the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show shattered him.

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, Nicki Minaj and some fans have criticized Jay-Z, who was in charge of deciding who would headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime performance, for choosing Kendrick Lamar over Wayne.
Lil Wayne responded in a viral video statement on Friday, blaming himself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown.

He stated that it would have been an honor for him to headline the 2025 Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans.

Wayne stated that he's attempting to move on from his disappointment.


"That hurt so much. I blame myself for not being mentally ready for a letdown. I believed that stage was the best in my city. "It broke me, and I'm just trying to put myself back together," he explained.
