EPL: We were lucky - Guardiola comments as Man City defeats Brentford 2-1.
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City's manager, admits his team was fortunate to come back from down to defeat Brentford 2-1 on Saturday.
Yoane Wissa scored the first goal at the Etihad in under 25 seconds.
However, Erling Haaland answered with a brace in the first half, which was enough to give the Premier League champions all three points.
Guardiola, commenting after the game, stated his team struggled to perform well.
He stated, "We were fortunate with the deflection because they deserved 1-0."
"We had a hard time figuring out when to shoot and press. We were fortunate to score the goals, but in the second half, we improved and perhaps deserved to score more.
"We needed that to feel how difficult everything is. How terrible the Premier League is every game.”
