Hardship: 'It's not about giving them rice,' Rema tells Nigerian lawmakers

Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, an Afrobeats musician, has urged Nigerian lawmakers to take more meaningful measures to solve the country's hardship and poor governance, rather than simply offering temporary comfort.

He encouraged them to build long-term platforms that can continually deliver for the masses.

The artist also stated that he has been advising Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki on some of his ideas whenever they met.
Rema recently stated on 'The Breakfast Club' that it is not about distributing rice. Do you know if some children are allergic to rice? How about tomorrow? What will they eat tomorrow?

"It's preferable to build a platform that continuously delivers. Create a platform that will continuously educate. Create a platform that will consistently clothe. Create a platform that would consistently shelter the hungry people.”
