WAFU Championship: Flying Eagles defeat Water FC in friendly

Nigeria's Flying Eagles defeated Water FC of Abuja 1-0 in their first training match on Wednesday.

Bayelsa United striker Rabiu Abdullahi scored the winning goal for Aliyu Zubairu's team.

The Flying Eagles are gearing up for the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo.
The team began preparations for the competition on Thursday in Abuja.


Zubairu was named head coach of the former African champions last month.

The WAFU Championship will determine which team would represent the zone at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
