EPL: Manchester United will not win the title says Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United's captain, Bruno Fernandes, has stated that the team is "not ready" to win the Premier League this season.
According to him, the Red Devils are competing to finish in the top four.
Fernandes was reacting to their 3-0 home loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
The defeat means Erik ten Hag's team has only three points from their first three games.
United is already six points behind Manchester City and Liverpool, who have each won their opening three Premier League games this season.
"I am fully aware that United is not yet ready to win the championship. "We're fighting for it," Fernandes told DAZN.
"The minimum goal is to finish in the top four, which ensures us the Champions League.
"But we are aware that we still have a lot of things to improve in order to be able to dream of this bigger objective, which is what I and all of us want, which is to win the championship."
