Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, often known as Davido, has described the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, as Nigeria's most hazardous institution.

On Saturday, during the ongoing Edo State gubernatorial election, Davido made the claim in a series of postings on his X Twitter.

"The most dangerous institution in Nigeria @inecnigeria," he sent out.

The Afrobeat singer encouraged Edo citizens to be prepared to track their votes and the results from voting stations all the way to the state collation headquarters.

He claims that despite pledges, INEC will not submit results electronically.

"We already know that @inecnigeria will not transfer results electronically, thus everyone should be prepared to track the vote/results from the polling unit to the state collation centre.

"Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another thing! …. From 7pm make una go Dey mount collation center !! #EdoDecide2024.”
