Igoh Ogbu, a Nigerian defender, is expected to miss a significant amount of time due to injury.

Ogbu received an injury during Slavia Prague's league match against Viktoria Plzen.

The former Flying Eagles midfielder was stretchered off the pitch in the first half after a head collision with Viktoria Plzeň's Jan Kopic and Svetozar Marković.

The centre defender is scheduled to have surgery in the following days.

If his recuperation continues as planned, the 24-year-old may be back in action by December.

Slavia Prague will miss his leadership in their forthcoming games.

On Wednesday, they will face Ludogorets Razgrad in Bulgaria in the first round of the Europa League.
