Why I Left My Pregnant Wife to Feature On BBNaija Show - Tjay

The reality star also revealed his wife received overwhelming support from friends, family, and fans during his time on the show.

Former Big Brother Naija season nine housemate, Tunji ‘Tjay‘ Adeniji-Soji has revealed why he chose to feature in the reality show even though his wife was heavily pregnant.

Recall that Tjay, a 33-year-old medical doctor was recently evicted alongside Handi and Shaun.

Speaking with journalists, the reality star described the decision to participate in the show as “difficult” for him and his wife.


“It was difficult for both of us,” Tjay admitted. “I thought the show would air after delivery, but the pregnancy timeline changed.”

 

He said despite her initial reservations after their long conversation, she gave him the green light to participate in BBNaija.

 

“She said ‘okay, fine there is no point really going backwards now’, although it was very difficult for her. She just preferred me to focus on my dream. She also said she was going to sort things out,” he said.

 

The reality star also revealed his wife received overwhelming support from friends, family, and fans during his time on the show.

 

“But I mean she had a lot of help, I would not lie, she had lots of help,” he added.

 

“A lot of fans reached out, my friends supported us, family was also there. So she was not in any way unsupported or lonely. Like I said, I always like to praise women who support their men in their dreams, it is what my wife did and it is an amazing show of strength.”
