Ahead of President Bola Tinubu's proposed cabinet reshuffle, a popular social critic, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan or VDM, has called for the resignation of Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power.

TalkTalk Nigeria  remembers that Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, warned on Wednesday that cabinet reshuffles are imminent.

There are signs that some ministers may be ousted, while others may be assigned another position.

VDM reacted by posting a video clip on his Facebook page on Friday pleading with the president to spare performing ministers.

He did, however, say that the Minister of Power should be replaced, adding that the "segregation surrounding Band A, Band B, and Band C" does not make sense.

He pondered why some Nigerians had access to electricity for 20 hours each day while others did not.


He stated: "If any minister needs to be fired or reshuffled, it should be the Minister of Power. They should get rid of the guy.

"My rationale is that the segmentation of Band A, Band B, and Band C concerns makes no sense. What's the rationale behind the segregation? Are you claiming that poor people do not have access to light?

"Are impoverished people not obliged to use light for 24 hours? It doesn't make sense because we're all Nigerian."
