Bobrisky sues VeryDarkMan over an alleged N15 million bribe, demanding N1 billion.

Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has launched a lawsuit against internet activist and critic VeryDarkMan, or VDM, over an audio broadcast by the latter on his social media account.

The post included a purported voice recording of the crossdresser informing a third party how he reportedly paid officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, N15 million to dismiss a money laundering accusation leveled against him earlier this year.

The audio record also indicted several Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) officers for allegedly allowing Bobrisky to serve his six-month imprisonment sentence outside the prison.

Bobrisky has, however, denied the recordings, claiming that the voice recording allegedly implicating him in any crime was manufactured by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Bobrisky's legal team ordered in a letter posted on his Facebook page on Sunday that VeryDarkMan erase the audio clip immediately, publish a public apology in two major newspapers, and record a video apology to be shared across all social media platforms.

The lawsuit also requests that VeryDarkMan stop distributing defamatory content regarding Bobrisky and pay N1 billion in damages within 24 hours.

The letter begins with the following request: "We demand, on behalf of our client, a written apology published in two national daily newspapers, a video recording of your apology to our client shared on all your social media platforms, a commitment to refrain from reporting or publishing defamatory content against our client, and the payment of N1,000,000,000 in damages within 24 hours of this letter via social media or any other means."
