EPL: Solskjaer says Ronaldo would have scored more goals for Manchester United than Haaland at City.
Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Cristiano Ronaldo would have scored more goals than Erling Haaland in the current Manchester City squad.
The former Manchester United manager believes the Portuguese are still capable of dominating world football.
He also said that the Portuguese's return to Old Trafford may have made other Manchester United players feel less important.
Solskjaer stated at the Oslo Business Forum (via Yahoo Sports), "He'd definitely score more than Erling Haaland is doing now [for Manchester City].
"So I spoke with Cristiano, and we got him to Manchester United, but I believe that influenced the entire dressing room, the dynamics in the dressing room.
"Perhaps other players felt less important because, clearly, this is one of the world superstars that comes in.
“He did well, he was top scorer that year with 24 goals or something, but I was out of a job 10 weeks later.”
