VeryDarkMan tells how he obtained a phone tape of Bobrisky.
Blogger Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has detailed how he obtained a disputed phone recording of cross dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.
He revealed this on Monday, when he appeared before a House of Representatives subcommittee examining bribery accusations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Similarly, EFCC and NCoS staff were present as the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions began a probe into the blogger's charges of bribery and corruption against the anti-graft agency and the prison service.
VeryDarkMan originally declined to face the committee in the absence of Bobrisky, who was also invited, but instead sent a lawyer.
The lawmakers, on the other hand, objected to his submission and moved a motion for him to deliver an address on the issue of the voice tape he disclosed.
Despite the committee's threat to activate legislative powers and force his immediate arrest, VeryDarkMan requested that his lawyer speak in his place.
The blogger questioned the legitimacy of the popular audio recording, claiming that it was obtained from someone to whom Bobrisky owed money.
VeryDarkMan claimed in a viral video that Bobrisky paid N15 million to the anti-graft agency to settle money laundering allegations against him during his naira spraying ordeal in April, following which a court sentenced him to six months in prison.
He further said that Bobrisky spent millions of naira to achieve a favorable prison placement.
