Transfer: Clubs were not interested in Eberechi Eze, Crystal Palace chairman.
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has revealed he is "astounded" by the lack of interest in Eberechi Eze in the summer transfer window.
Eze is thought to have many fans in the Premier League, but there was no formal approach for the midfielder.
Palace were relieved to keep the 26-year-old, particularly after Bayern Munich bought Michael Olise for £50 million earlier in the summer.
"I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael and Ebbs in the same window and we didn't have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have," Parish said Sky Sports News during an interview.
"I was astounded." Truly astonished. I mean, he's a terrific footballer and person."
Eze himself is believed to have a release clause around £60m in his contract.
