I take periodic breaks from Nollywood to recharge – Omotola

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, often known as Omosexy, an ace Nollywood actress, has finally spoken up about her frequent vacations from the industry.

The 46-year-old actress broke her silence to answer fans' questions about why she abandoned her acting profession.

Omotola shared on her Instagram page that she takes deliberate breaks to unwind and revitalize after years of work.
"I know many people don't understand why I take a break from filmmaking for a few years before returning.

"I've had people ask when I'll return to the screen, but if you've been working since you were 15, like me, you understand the need to relax, relive, relearn, and recharge. Who gets it, and who is following?

"I visited Nigeria in December last year and left in March after filming two movies in February," she told me.

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, Omosexy began her acting career at the age of 15 and made her Nollywood debut as the lead in 'Venom of Justice' in 1995.
