Ijoba Lande Blasts Portable Over Mocking Song About His Family Drama

Popular content creator, Ganiyu Kehinde Morufu, widely known as Ijoba Lande, has lashed out at controversial singer Portable for releasing a song that allegedly mocks his troubled family situation. The drama, which has already been messy enough, just took another wild turn with Portable’s musical jab.

Ijoba Lande has been embroiled in an infidelity scandal involving his estranged wife, Dara, which has dominated social media discussions. The comedian claims to have eight videos of various men, aside from fellow comedian Baba Tee, who publicly admitted to having an affair with his wife.

Adding fuel to the fire, Portable apparently decided the scandal was perfect material for his latest track. But the move didn’t sit well with Ijoba Lande, who wasted no time firing back through a video posted on his social media page.

In the clip, the visibly angered comedian called out Portable, stating:

“Portable, I see all the nonsense you are doing. You are using my life story to sing. You will pay for it. When they slept with one of your wives the other time, you were crying all over the Internet. Don’t worry, you will pay for your crimes someday.”

Opinion: Where Should the Line Be Drawn in Entertainment?

It's not news that Portable has built a reputation for making controversial headlines, but this time, the singer may have crossed a line. While creativity and entertainment are often drawn from real-life experiences, is it ethically sound to turn another person's pain into a song?

Ijoba Lande’s outrage is understandable. After all, it's one thing to be in the middle of a public scandal; it's another to have someone turn your personal tragedy into entertainment content. It's like rubbing salt in a fresh wound.

But there's another side to the coin. Portable, as an artist, thrives on controversy and has never been one to shy away from addressing trending topics. Yet, where is the line between creative expression and outright insensitivity?

At what point should public figures understand that turning someone’s emotional turmoil into a catchy tune is not just inappropriate but also cruel?

This saga raises the broader issue of responsibility in entertainment. Yes, controversy sells, but should it come at the expense of someone else’s emotional well-being?

What do you think? Should Portable have steered clear of Ijoba Lande’s family troubles, or is all fair in the world of entertainment?
