Teebillz Apologizes to Toke Makinwa Over 2Baba and Annie Idibia Divorce Saga

Talent manager Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz, has publicly apologized to media personality Toke Makinwa after initially criticizing her comments on 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s divorce.

Following 2Baba’s divorce announcement on January 26, 2025, Toke Makinwa was one of the first celebrities to react, warning the singer to prepare for public scrutiny.

Her stance did not sit well with Teebillz, who issued a stern response, accusing her of meddling in other people’s family affairs. He suggested that she lacked the level of forgiveness and understanding that some women who have children for their partners exhibit.

His comments stirred controversy, especially given Makinwa’s friendship with Tiwa Savage, Teebillz’s ex-wife. Many believed the exchange could damage their relationship.

Teebillz’s Apology – A Change of Heart

In an unexpected turn, Teebillz took to Instagram on Saturday to express regret over his remarks, admitting he overreacted out of love for 2Baba and Annie Idibia.

"My sincere apologies to TM [Toke Makinwa]. I jumped the gun and goofed. I honestly acted out of character because of the unconditional love I have for Annie and King 2. My action was based on expired knowledge and lack of understanding of the current occurrences."

He further acknowledged that his behavior mirrored the same emotional incompetence he accused Makinwa of and hoped she would forgive his misstep.

"Hopefully, I get the chance to privately apologize and sort our differences."

A Lesson in Public Feuds and Accountability

This public reconciliation highlights a broader issue—the influence of emotions in online disputes. Teebillz’s willingness to admit fault and seek resolution is a rare move in the often drama-filled entertainment industry.
