Amorim Dismisses Rashford Talk, Focuses on Manchester United Squad
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Marcus Rashford is not his concern at the moment, as the England international continues to thrive on loan at Aston Villa.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of United’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, Amorim was asked about Rashford’s form at Villa, where he recently scored a brace in a 3-0 FA Cup win against Preston.
In response, he stated:
“I am focused on my team and my players. Rashford is not my player at the moment. But of course, I am happy when our players are playing well on loan.”
A Tense Relationship Between Rashford and Amorim?
Rashford’s departure from Manchester United came after a reported fallout with Amorim, which saw him lose favour in the squad. The winger, once a key figure at Old Trafford, struggled for form and consistency before making a January loan switch to Aston Villa.
Interestingly, since joining Unai Emery’s side, Rashford has shown signs of his old self, delivering strong performances and getting back among the goals.
His resurgence at Villa Park raises a major question: Does Rashford still have a future at Manchester United under Amorim?
Man United’s Focus: Injury Update and Nottingham Forest Clash
Beyond the Rashford situation, Amorim also provided an injury update on Ayden Heaven, assuring fans that the player will return before the end of the season.
“Ayden Heaven’s injury is not so serious. He’s not ready yet now, but he will play again this season, for sure.”
With United preparing for a tough test against Nottingham Forest, Amorim is keen to shift the focus back to his current squad rather than discussing players out on loan.
Will Rashford Get Another Chance at Old Trafford?
While Amorim may not be concerned about Rashford at the moment, the forward’s impressive form at Villa could make it difficult to ignore him in the summer. If he keeps performing, United’s hierarchy may have to rethink his future.
What do you think—should Rashford return to Manchester United and fight for his place, or has his time at Old Trafford already come to an end?
