Sporting Lagos Set for Squad Reinforcement Ahead of Second Stanza – Coach Adegun
Sporting Lagos head coach, Shola Adegun, has assured fans that the club will strengthen the squad with quality signings before the second half of the season kicks off.
The Lagos-based side ended the first stanza of the season in fifth position on the Conference B table with 14 points. However, Adegun admitted that injuries took a toll on the team’s performance.
Building for a Stronger Second Half
Speaking to Sporting Lagos Media, Adegun outlined his transfer plans:
“We figured out that we have a little bit of a lean squad. With a few injuries, it kind of knocked us off balance a bit.”
“For sure, we are looking to add numbers, and at the same time, we are looking to add more quality to the group.”
“We are searching, and hopefully, we can find one or two before the league resumes.”
Opinion: Smart Reinforcement Is Key
While Sporting Lagos has been competitive in the first half of the season, depth and squad balance will be crucial for their push towards the top. If Adegun and his scouting team can secure strong reinforcements, the team could emerge as serious contenders.
