Controversial Singer Portable Remanded in Ilorin Prison Over Defamation Charges
Popular street-hop artiste, Okikiola Badmus, widely known as Portable, has been remanded in the Oke Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, Kwara State, following his failure to meet the stringent bail conditions set by an Upper Area Court.
The singer appeared before the court on Monday to face charges of defamation of character filed against him by legendary Fuji icon, Akorede Saheed, popularly known as Saheed Osupa.

The court granted Portable bail in the sum of ₦1 million, alongside two sureties in like sum. However, the conditions attached have proven difficult for the singer to fulfill:
One surety must be the Chairman or Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN)
The second must be a property owner within a Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Ilorin, with a valid Certificate of Occupancy (C of O)
Until these requirements are met, Portable will remain in custody.
