Charles Barkley admits he hasn't worn underwear in 10 years
If you're one those guys who enjoys the sweet, sweet freedom of going commando, know that Charles Barkley is of the same mind.
The former NBA power forward and current Inside the NBA analyst confessed to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show on Thursday that he's been living his life sans underwear for the past 10 years.
The topic arose when Fallon showed Barkley a video of fellow NBA commentator Shaquille O'Neal asking the all-important question: "A source close to me tells me that you don't wear underwear when you're live on TV. How come don't you wear drawers?" the inquisitive O'Neal wants to know.
The audience laughs, and Fallon braces himself for the response as soon as Barkley starts with, "Jimmy, about 10 years ago....."
Yes, a whole decade ago, Barkley thought his drawers were unnecessary and taking up too much space in the house. So like any practical problem-solver would do, he got all his drawers together and "had a big ol' bonfire." Enough was enough!
"I've been 10 years without underwear, and I feel good about it Jimmy," he adds. Unfortunately, Kimmel had to go to commercial break and wasn't able to press Barkley on answers to the questions we all deserve: What's it really like walking around with your junk free? What kind of shorts are safe to wear? What about bulge display in public? Do you have to do laundry way less frequently? What is underwear's purpose today in our modern society?
