Abuja hosts the first-ever Nigeria-Saudi Investment Forum.

The Business Forum, which aimed to open up new investment prospects between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia, drew more than 50 corporate and portfolio investors, as well as a hajj and Umrah expo.

Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), remarked that the Investment Forum is a result of the recently ended Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit.

Mrs Dabiri-Erewa said the Nigeria- Saudi Investment Forum has further strengthened socio- cultural relations between Nigeria and the Kindgom of Saudi Arabia and urged exhibitors and investors to make it an Annual event.

In the same vein, the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria Adnan Bostaji said Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shared common history and implored the Organizers to make the event worthwhile for investment opportunities in Nigeria and export opportunities from Nigeria to Saudi.

Many Nigerians from the Diaspora who were visiting Nigeria for the first time attended the Forum.

According to reports, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is home to 1.5 million Nigerians.
