Adekunle Gold did not choose the songs for my album — Simi

Simi, a singer, has stated that her husband and fellow singer, Adekunle Gold, did not decide which songs would be included in her latest album, 'To Be Honest.'

During a question and answer session at a listening session for the album, a fan asked if Adekunle Gold had a say in the song selection, and she replied, "No. Obviously, his opinion is very important to me, and I can ask him how he feels about various issues. But, at the end of the day, I chose all of the songs and how they were released."

The 'Naked Wire' singer also stated that she does not take her current position for granted. "Honestly, I am really grateful because I know there are many incredible musicians who work hard and want to win," she said. I don't take my current position for granted.

"I don't think it has to be me because many other people deserve these things." I am simply grateful. I am thankful for my supporters, and I am thankful that I can continue to excel at my craft."
