Tonto Dikeh nominated as Rivers ADC governor candidate's running mate.

Tonte Ibraye, the Rivers State African Democratic Congress governorship candidate, has nominated popular actress Tonto Dikeh as his running mate.

On Friday, the actress announced her candidacy on Instagram, along with their government's plans if elected in next year's election.

When elected, she said the administration would invest massively in social protection and create social value for the youths.

She wrote, “I thank Mr. Tonte Ibraye, the Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress Rivers State for nominating me as his running mate.”

Dikeh listed their manifesto as "massively investing in social protection, developing a social value system for young people, and increasing women's inclusion in our governance system."

Others are "strengthening our traditional institutions and supporting small businesses in order to be active players in the drive to bring sustainable development to the good people of Rivers State."

Dikeh, on the other hand, urged residents of the state, particularly the youth, to register and obtain a Permanent Voter Card in order to vote in the election.
