In September, Toyin Lawani will host master classes for the Lagos Fashion Fair.
Come September 2022, the 2022 edition of the fashion expo will be held at Atlantic Exhibition Limited, the organizer of the Lagos Fashion Fair in collaboration with Africa Fashion Week Nigeria.
Ayodeji Olugbade, the CEO of Atlantic Exhibition Ltd., and Princess Ademiluyi, the creator of African Fashion Week London and Nigeria, introduced a Master Class session that will feature Toyin Lawani, a serial entrepreneur from Nigeria, to make the fashion event more educational.
Ayodeji Olugbade claims that the government may use the fashion business as one of the areas to help and stimulate the country's economic growth. The founder of Africa Fashion Week, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, emphasized in her personal contribution that "government should focus on leveraging fashion as another non-oil export to enhance our nation's GDP." "Our creative talents are already converting the fashion business into wealth generation," she continued.
Princess Ademiluyi added that “Lagos Fashion Fair and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria fusion offers an opportunity for creative designers, fashion professionals, stylists, retailers , models, trend setters and consumers to buy wholesale, shop at discounted rate, interact, network and build business relationships with Nigeria and International exhibitors and visitors.”
Mr Ayodeji Olugbade also noted that “this year’s bumper exhibition packages will feature fashionistas, importers from Europe, Asia exporters and their Nigeria counterparts with loads of activities: shopping, runways shows, musical performances, celebrities’ appearances, and celebration of fashion icons”.
He further disclosed that ” Lagos Fashion Fair has attained over 3,000 exhibitors, 35,000 visitors, 35 speakers, 84 large procurement buyers, 69.9 % business networking opportunities and 84% follow up meetings”
