Men's impotence may also be brought on by snoring, according to a surgeon.
Dr. Olanrewaju Idris, an expert in ear, nose, and throat surgery, has issued a warning against disregarding snoring and said that it is an unnatural development that should not be taken for granted.
Men who snore are recommended to seek medical attention, since failure to properly diagnose and treat the disease may result in impotence in men, the ENT specialist advised.
Idris added that snoring could cause social issues for those who struggle with it if it is not adequately addressed.
Idris, who works at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital's Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat in Kwara State, observed that most snorers are unaware of their condition until it is pointed out to them or until a recording of their sleep is made and displayed to them.
