Police free Ibadan skit-maker and Prankster, Trinity Guy on bail
Abdullahi Mahruf, an Ibadan-based comedian known as Trinityguy, was freed on bail from Agodi Correctional Centre on Friday evening.
Trinityguy was freed after meeting bail terms, according to a confirmed Facebook post from one of his colleagues, Abdul Gafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, also known as lawyer Kunle, on Friday night.
He also stated that Trinityguy had ardently prayed for vindication throughout his time in prison, as evidenced by a black patch prominently visible on his forehead in his recent photos.
"Trinity is now out on bail." I wish you the very best, brother. May Allah continue to guide you to the correct path. Hello, and welcome back! My man doesn't pray tire. "Look at his forehead," remarked lawyer Kunle on Facebook."
Remember that the Magistrate in charge of Trinity's case, P.O Adetuyibi, indicated that the complaint against the skit producer is beyond his power because it is now being investigated by the state Ministry of Justice.
Trinityguy got into problems when his social media prank with a youngster went public.
He was summoned for questioning by the Oyo State Police Command, following which he was prosecuted in court for sexualizing a kid in the viral video.
On Tuesday, July 11, he was charged with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation with the victim's parents, Ahmed and Rofiat, when Inspector Oluwakemi Arowosaye informed the court that he plotted with the victim's parents to mistreat and sexualize the little girl in his viral video.
Attempts to talk with the state police command's spokesperson, SP Adewale Osifeso, were futile since he did not return phone calls.
