AFCON 2025 qualifier: Boniface ready to replace Osimhen

Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has stated that he is ready to replace the injured Victor Osimhen against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.

Osimhen is unavailable for selection in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations doubleheader due to injury.

Boniface is the favourite to replace the Galatasaray forward in the starting lineup against the North Africans.

The 23-year-old claims he is not under pressure to take over the team's goal-scoring responsibilities.

"I feel no pressure. We have three strikers: Kelechi, Awoniyi, and myself. "If I play, or any of us play, we'll try to win," Boniface told Football Fans Tribe.

"The most important thing to me is the team's performance. If we are winning and I’m not scoring, then I don’t have any problem. Whatever people want to say, they should say it, but as long as we are getting the win, then it’s fine by me.”
