FA Cup: Carragher predicts Ten Hag’s departure from Manchester United
Jamie Carragher, a Liverpool star, predicts that Manchester United's wobbly victory against Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday will cost Erik ten Hag his job as manager.
Remember that Manchester United had a comfortable 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, and Bruno Fernandes.
However, the Championship side mounted a dramatic comeback, scoring three goals in the second half to send the game to extra time and, eventually, a penalty shootout.
Ten Hag's team ultimately won the game on penalties.
However, Carragher believes United's overall performance was poor and that the dressing room would be dissatisfied.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher stated that he does not see any development at United under Ten Hag.
He stated, "I believe that result has just cost Erik ten Hag his job. I don't understand how he stays.
"It's basically a series of terrible performances. That is perhaps the most ashamed locker room of a team that has recently won a huge game.
"You can't even enjoy that victory. Maybe that can win the final, but I'm not seeing any development."
