‘Stop trying to clone me’ – Rema warns record labels

Nigerian musician Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has issued a warning to record labels for imitating his style and branding their singers in the same way.

The musician has intimated that certain record labels are attempting to mold their talents after him, replicating his music style and general image.

Rema advised record labels to be more creative and quit attempting to clone him.
On his X account, he wrote, "Labels get creative, stop trying to clone me."

The 'Calm Down' singer also boasted about making "a big statement" with his Afrobeat EPs. Every new Artist since 2019 has eaten from the same template. Uh oh."
