No competition in YBNL or between Asake, myself – Fireboy
Fireboy DML, an Afrobeats singer, has denied that he and his record label mate, Asake, are competitors.
According to the 'Peru' singer, there is no competition on their record label, YBNL Nation.
In a recent interview with Max FM in Lagos, Fireboy said that he, Asake, and their label boss, superstar rapper Olamide, had a pleasant working relationship.
Fireboy stated, "I do not believe there is any competition in YBNL because everyone is on a different lane. Nobody would be furious if we all dropped our tracks within a week of each other. There is true affection.
"There is genuine brotherhood among us. Olamide and Asake once helped me loosen my hair. That was a really solemn moment for me. There’s no competition in YBNL.”
The singer also said that YBNL Nation and its artists don’t get involved in industry brawls because their goal is to make money.
