Flavour loses dad

Elder Onyemaechi Okoli, father of Nigerian highlife musician Chinedu Okoli, aka Flavour, has died.

The 'Ijele' singer shared the sad news on his X (previously Twitter) profile.


Elder Okoli died on Wednesday, May 22, 2023.
Flavour, mourning his father, wrote in Igbo: "My father, Ijele's (his nickname) father, rest well. God gave, and God has taken.

Meanwhile, condolence comments have poured in from the singer's fans and colleagues via the comment area.

The family has yet to reveal the deceased's funeral preparations.
