Bundesliga: Tuchel reacts as ex-Man Utd coach turns down Bayern Munich job

Despite Bayern Munich's struggles to find a new manager, with Ralf Rangnick the latest to turn down the job, current manager Thomas Tuchel remains strong in his opinion that the club has its allure, reinforcing his desire to leave at the end of the season.

Since Tuchel announced his departure in February, Bayern has struggled to find a replacement.

They had first targeted Xabi Alonso as the best option, but were disappointed when he chose to extend his contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
Negotiations with former manager Julian Nagelsmann also stalled after he committed to the German national squad.

The Bavarians appeared to have secured Rangnick's services, only for him to decline the offer, opting to continue his work with Austria after the Euros.

Despite the failures, Tuchel downplayed the impact on the club's appeal, emphasizing Bayern's long-standing renown.

When asked about the prolonged managerial search and Rangnick's refusal during his pre-match press conference ahead of Bayern's away Bundesliga match against Stuttgart on Saturday, Tuchel emphasised his focus on immediate priorities, saying: "Well, I don't think the players need to know [who will be the next manager] in the next five or seven days."

Tuchel remained positive about Bayern's desirability to managers following the Rangnick decision, saying, "No, I don't think so." It was appealing enough for me."

He did not, however, make any additional comments on the topic, reiterating his dedication to the club's existing aims.
