Drake denies having a 'secret daughter'
Multi-Grammy-winning Canadian rapper Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham has vowed to give up rapping if anyone can prove he has a secret daughter.
His rival, Kendrick Lamar had alleged in his diss track, ‘Meet The Grahams,’ that the ‘Hotline Bling’ crooner has an 11-year-old secret daughter.
He called the Canadian rapper “deadbeat” for not being present in the life of his “hidden daughter.”
In another diss track titled, ‘Euphoria,’ Kendrick declared himself as Drake’s “biggest hater.”
Popular American media personality, Akademiks, said Drake debunked the allegations in a conversation with him, vowing to quit music and come work for him if anyone can prove he has a secret daughter.
Speaking on his show on Saturday night, Akademiks said: “Drake hit [texted] me, he said, ‘Ak, if you or anybody can prove that I have an 11-year-old daughter, I’ll quit rapping and come work for you.”
Lamar sparked controversy in the American hip-hop scene after he dissed Drake and J.Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That.’
Since then, J.Cole and Drake have responded accordingly, releasing their own diss tracks targeted at Lamar, however, the former later apologised and deleted his diss track.
J. Cole had fired back at Lamar on ‘7 Minute Drill,’ saying “he fell off like the Simpsons”.
Surprisingly, J. Cole paused his set during his performance at the 2024 Dreamville Festival in North Carolina on Sunday to apologise to Lamar.
Drake released ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ to diss Kendrick Lamar, and featured AI-generated versions of the late 2Pac, and Snoop Dogg’ voices.
