‘I almost lost my life’ – Singer Crayon
Nigerian artist Charles Chibuezechukwu, well known as Crayon, has spoken out about his struggle with public acceptance and health difficulties.
During a recent episode of 'Drip Check,' the musician revealed that he suffered from depression in 2020 as a result of a lack of popular acceptance despite recording songs back to back.
The Mavin artist also discussed how he almost died in 2022.
Crayon stated, "2020 was one of my darkest years in the game." I released around seven tracks, and no one took notice. I remember when I dropped 'Gbona,' it was starting to take off then COVID-19 struck, and everything went down. And 'Gbona' was a club hit. I dropped the video, but it didn't get picked up. I released songs biweekly.
"I experienced a breakdown in early 2022. People don't recover from that, so the fact that I'm standing here now is a miracle. "I almost lost my life," he said.
